Lee Smith is the New Conservative candidate for Taranaki-King Country.
Lee is a 46-year-old mother of six (five sons and one daughter, including a set of twins) and very happily married to Ross Smith, an aircraft engineer. They recently welcomed their first granddaughter.
They reside in Pokuru just outside Te Awamutu in the mighty Waikato with their three youngest children. Lee owns and operates two Bridal businesses, Stylequeen Bridal & Formal Wear and Lee Smith – Professional Makeup Artist, which she has owned for nine and 17 years respectively. Prior to this, she owned Scentsations Body Care Ltd for four years, which was a store full of beautiful hand-crafted New Zealand made health and beauty products and gift items.
“I’m a born and bred Taranaki girl, one of six siblings growing up on dairy farms all around stunning Mount Taranaki and lived there for almost 30 years before moving to the Waikato. Dairy farming is something I did for a living myself and it’s something that I’m still very passionate about.”
“Having had some difficult circumstances to overcome in my younger years has put me in a great position to help others who may struggle in a life that is less than perfect I have a heart for helping disadvantaged youth and for building strong families, and am a committed Christian.”
“Another area that I have enjoyed helping people in in a practical sense is in my role as organiser of the Hopewalk Suicide Prevention Walk for our district for the past three years.”
Lee joined New Conservative NZ because the party’s policies are common sense, family-friendly, business-friendly, justice-focused and for ALL kiwis. As a business owner, the focus on limiting hyper-regulation has her personal endorsement. She supports their focus on New Zealand Sovereignty in the face of UN pressure, unity between New Zealand and Israel, their pro-life stance, and their intention to repeal the March 2019 Firearms Amendment Act.
“I look forward to bringing authentic representation to this region and am hopeful of a return to true democratic process in NZ Government.”
Taranaki-King Country voters are encouraged to give their party vote to New Conservative and their electorate vote to Lee Smith.
