Get in Touch

My name is Lee Smith, I am a 46-year-old mother of six (5 sons and 1 daughter, including a set of twins) and very happily married to Ross Smith, an aircraft engineer. We recently welcomed our first granddaughter.

We reside in Pokuru just outside Te Awamutu in the mighty Waikato with our three youngest children. I own and operate my two Bridal businesses, Stylequeen Bridal & Formal Wear and Lee Smith- Professional Makeup Artist which I’ve owned for the last 9 and 17 years respectively. Prior to this I owned Scentsations Body Care Ltd for 4 years which was a store full of beautiful hand-crafted New Zealand made health and beauty products and gift items.

I’m a born and bred Taranaki girl, one of six siblings growing up on dairy farms all around stunning Mount Taranaki and lived there for almost 30 years before moving to the Waikato. Dairy farming is something I did for a living myself and it’s something that I’m still very passionate about.

Having had some difficult circumstances to overcome in my younger years has put me in a great position to help others who may struggle in a life that is less than perfect I have a heart for helping disadvantaged youth and for building strong families, and am a committed Christian.

Another area that I have enjoyed helping people in a practical sense is in my role as organiser of the Hopewalk Suicide Prevention Walk for our district for the past three years.

I joined New Conservative NZ because their policies are common sense, family friendly, business friendly, justice focused and for ALL kiwis. As a business owner the focus on limiting hyper regulation has my personal endorsement. I support their focus on NZ Sovereignty in the face of UN pressure, unity between NZ and Israel, their pro-life stance and their intention to repeal the March 2019 Firearms Amendment Act.

I look forward to bringing authentic representation to this region and am hopeful of a return to true democratic process in NZ Government.
